Serving a global technology client, the EHS Manager will be responsible for visiting commercial office sites to carry out comprehensive health and safety risk assessments. The role focuses on identifying workplace hazards, assessing compliance with relevant legislation, and providing clear, practical recommendations to improve safety and reduce risk. Findings are documented and formally reported back to the client.


Key Responsibilities

- Conduct on-site health and safety risk assessments within commercial office environments

- Identify hazards associated with office layouts, workstations, building services, shared spaces, and occupancy levels

- Review existing control measures and evaluate their effectiveness

- Assess compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and recognised best practice

- Liaise with building management, facilities teams, and office staff to understand operations and current safety arrangements

- Record findings clearly, including risk ratings and priority actions

- Produce professional risk assessment reports for the client


Skills and Competencies

- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within commercial office settings

- Proven ability to conduct structured risk assessments

- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills

- Clear, concise report-writing ability

- Confident and professional communication with clients and stakeholders

- Ability to balance legal compliance with practical business needs


Qualifications and Experience

- Qualification in Health & Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field

- Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent) desirable

- Experience conducting health and safety risk assessments in office or commercial environments

- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation (or applicable local regulations)


Working Conditions

- On-site work within commercial office premises

- Some travel may be required

- Report writing and follow-up conducted remotely or from an office base
